The Hostetler House is a charming 1912 historic Prairie School home with three comfortable guest rooms done in casual country decor with twin, double and queen beds. Many of the furnishings are handmade and others are family heirlooms and treasured collectibles, combining for a feeling of warmth and hospitality. Guests may relax in the hot tub and gazebo, the sitting room full of books, the enclosed sun porch, or in the enclosed backyard. You may watch color cable TV or movies in the cozy sitting room or enjoy board games at the dining room table.
Wake up to the smell of freshly ground gourmet coffee, tea, and homemade breads and muffins. A full breakfast is served on Grandma's china in the dining room or on the sun porch. For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted at The Hostetler House, nor are pets, but a house cat is available for petting and playing.
Located near the historic 1929 Bell Street Bridge across the Yellowstone River and two blocks from downtown shopping and restaurants, we are also close to parks, swimming pool, tennis courts, and churches. Other possible activities and points of interest in Glendive include a golf course, folf course, antique shops, Dawson Community College, a museum, art gallery, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing and hiking or just enjoying the prehistoric landscape amid the fossils at Makoshika State Park. Guests may view the historic district of Glendive on single or tandem mountain bikes.
To your hosts, Craig and Dea Hostetler, The Hostetler House is a dream - a dream they want their guests to share and enjoy. Dea is an interior decorator who grew up on a nearby wheat farm and has traveled extensively. Craig is a Glendive native who is a mechanical engineer and pilot, and an avid outdoorsman. They hope to provide not just a place to stay, but a pleasant memory.
