Charley Montana Bed & Breakfast is located in the historic Krug Mansion, one of Montana's premier historic homes. The 8,000 square foot building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Jim and Katherine Lee purchased the home from the original owners in 1996, and have actively preserved and revitalized the home. On the first floor with its ten foot ceilings, the huge doors, quarter-sawn oak woodwork, leaded glass, and fireplaces are remarkable in their quality and preservation. Breakfasts are hearty with homemade breads, elaborate entrees with meat or fish and potatoes, fruit and juice.

Guests enjoy more than 2500 square feet of common spaces, with cable television, and wireless high-speed internet access. Credit cards are accepted. Conference spaces and convenient parking are available.

Five comfortably decorated guest rooms or suites are named for Krug family members. Suite Annie, with over 600 square feet of space, has a queen size bed, large sitting room, and private bath with clawfoot tub and shower. The Charles Rooms on the first floor have a queen size bed plus a single bed in a separated sleeping alcove, and a handicap-equipped bath with shower. The Emma Room on the second floor has a choice of twin or king size bed, and a clawfoot tub with shower. The Paul Room has a queen size bed with private bath and shower, with western decor. The Lavina Room has original Lavina Ketchum paintings, a queen size bed and private bath and shower. Groups can be accomodated comfortably.

Business travelers enjoy a quiet atmosphere, good beds, cable television, telephones, wireless access to high speed internet, breakfast to suit their schedules, and fax and copying services. Big Sky Airlines flies in to Glendive, and airport pickup is available.

Comfortable antiques decorate the home. Extensive libraries include hundreds of western and Montana historic books. Much original art and many western prints are displayed throughout.

You can find Charley Montana Bed & Breakfast where I-94 meets the Yellowstone River. From the east, take I-94 Exit 215; drive toward the City Center on Merrill Street. Turn right on Bell, one block past the first stop light. You'll see the brick Krug Mansion ahead, on the corner of Bell and Douglas. From the west, take the first Glendive exit, which feeds into Towne Street, and drive toward downtown Glendive. Cross the Yellowstone River, and turn right at the foot of the bridge. Charley Montana is on the right, at the end of the block.
