Hickory House Inn
The St. Paul's Rectory was built in 1902,by a wealthy parrishioner of the church. It was the home for the priest until 1978, when St. Paul's church was torn down. It was turned into a B&B in 2005. With extensive remodeling it is an elegant manor with all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel with historical significance and interest. There are two rooms downstairs one is handicap accessable. There are three suite's upstairs each has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The fireplace in the library is orginal to the house and is made out of tiger oak. The grand living room connects to the palor with its large etched glass french doors from France. The large formal dining room looks out into the private patio and gardens. We pride ourselves on our family style hospitality and sumptuous breakfasts. We offer great packages for Old Works golf course, just blocks away, and Discovery Ski area, a short 15 minute drive. The new Rarus Railway train ride into Butte will take you on a historical adventure of 1889. At the edge of the Pintlar Wilderness Area, outdoor adventures abound and Montana's best trout fishing is just minutes away. Mt Haggin cross country ski area, and the best groomed trails are found here as well as rental equipment. Evening entertainment can vary from ice skating on the 'Christmas light' ringed ice rink at the 'Commons' to catching a first run movie at the historic 'art deco' Washoe Theater, both two blocks away. Night clubs and great dining establishments abound. Visitors remark that Anaconda is like stepping back into a Norman Rockwell painting, here life takes little notice of the great hustle and bustle beyond our city limits because we like to stay focused on what's really important.
