Toad Hall Manor
Welcome to Toad Hall Manor, an elegant, charming bed & breakfast which takes its name from the British children's classic, "The Wind in the Willows". Mr. Toad would feel right at home in the luxurious surroundings of this gracious manor. Toad Hall Manor is truly a wonderful place for a relaxing change of pace, celebration of a special occasion, or a romantic getaway. Upon arrival, guests are greeted and pampered with the offering of Sherry, Port or other beverage to accompany some fine chocolates. All four of the manors unique rooms are named for one of the whimsical characters in "The Wind in the Willows" and finely decorated with comfortable amenities, such as down pillows and comforters, feather beds, 600 thread count sheets and stylish décor. All share breathtaking views of the beautiful Rocky Mountains or the fairway of the Butte Country Club.
The manor is 11,000 square feet on five levels. Marble and granite richly accent each floor, even that of the high speed hydraulic elevator. The manor is ideally appointed for the vacationer and business traveler. Whether you need to send a fax, use the internet through our high-speed wireless system, use our guest computer for e-mail or need notary service, Toad Hall Manor will meet your needs. There are two large wood burning fireplaces, four T.V.'s, VCR's, a DVD player, a library of movies, in-room massages, plus free off-site gym facilities!

Toad Hall Manor offers the very best in gourmet, fresh cuisine for your dining pleasure. Even before your main breakfast is served, we will delight you with our famous freshly made scones delivered right to your room with your choice of juice, a variety of teas or organic coffee and the morning paper. With our scones you can indulge in a variety of homemade and unique butter spreads and curds such as our own lemon curd and lime curd, plus apricot-pumpkin, passion fruit or pineapple butters (from Hawaii). Choose when you want your special scone delivery and breakfast time!
Breakfast is served on china, accented by crystal and silver, in your choice of the dining room, sun kitchen, Lily's Pad, outdoor deck or by special arrangement, in your room.

Our fruit dish is served prior to the main dish and usually consists of seasonal fruit, but ALWAYS includes mango, grapes and bananas with a lavish almond liquor drizzle, topped with whipped cream and spices!

Our Lady of the Rockies: Don't miss seeing this awe-inspiring monument located in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Charles Clark's Mansion: Once the former home of the son of the "Copper King", this historic, beautiful mansion now serves as both arts center & museum with thousands of historic artifacts.
Piccadilly Museum of Transportation: A wonderful collection of vintage memorabilia and advertising art.
Berkeley Pit: Started in 1955, this open-pit copper mine was used up until 1982. View this amazing 7,000 feet long, 1,800 feet deep pit, and discover what made Butte "The Richest Hill on Earth". Call (406) 723-3177 for more information.
Shopping & Antiques: Historic Uptown Butte "America's 2nd Largest Historic District" offers many unique shops and fantastic finds. Some of our favorites are, The Garden of Beadin', Cavahaugh's County Celtic, Main Stope Gallery ~ artist Sallie Bowen, Front Street Market, Rediscoveries, Porphyry Soap Company, Colours & Scents and Thomas' Family Apparel & Bridal just to name a few!
Trolley Tours: Take a ride on "Old No. 1", a replica of trolley cars used in years gone by. Tours are through Memorial Day - Labor Day.
Hell Roarin' Gulch & World Museum of Mining: Come check out a realistic look at a mining camp in the 1880's, with 22 acres filled with historic structures and authentic furnishings inside and out!
Mineral Museum: This University Campus Museum is a fantastic place to view and enjoy an impressive mineral collection. Don't miss the Fluorescent Room; it's truly a spectacle to behold. For more information call: (406) 496-4414.
Copper King Mansion: For more than a century copper was king in Butte. Take a guided tour thru William "Copper King" Clark's home, and marvel at the architecture and opulence that was built in 1884-1888.
Dumas Brothel Museum: View the only preserved building in what was Butte's thriving red light district.
Mother Lode Theater: Visit this historic restored theater with state of the art acoustics. Many fantastic performances performed weekly. Call (406) 723-3602 for current showings.
Lewis & Clark Caverns: This state park is just 40 miles east of Butte, with many spectacular underground caverns. Open May 1st - September 30th. Call (406) 287-3541.
Lewis & Clark Expedition: While traveling through Montana look for the historical sites depicting the trail taken by the famous Lewis & Clark, who spent approximately a 1/4 of their journey in Montana.
In-house Massage: Toad Hall Manor guests can enjoy a relaxing massage by our featured Certified Massage Therapist, Angela Krusemark.
Gym: Toad Hall Manor guests are provided free off-site gym facilities through the local YMCA nearby. It is only five minutes from us.

Watchable Wildlife: The Montana Dept. of Fish, Wildlife & Parks has many posted sites to view the native wildlife. There are dozens of species of birds, reptiles, fish, small animals and numerous prized big-game animals to spot.
Kayaking, Canoeing & Rafting: There are hundreds of miles of beautiful rivers accessible from Butte. Check with us for more information.
Rock Climbing: Spire Rock, Dragons Rock and Homestake Pass boast routes of unlimited climbing in just about every grade. Check with us for more information.
Hunting: The 1.2 million-acre Beaverhead/Deer Lodge National Forest offers outstanding opportunities for hunting. Also check with us for more information.
Fishing: Butte is within 30 minutes to an hours drive to some of the very best fishing in America. There are approximately 200 secluded and stunningly beautiful alpine lakes that offer a variety of trout, salmon, mountain whitefish and more. Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding: There is downhill skiing and snowboarding galore in the wintertime at beautiful Discovery Basin, the Great Divide, Lost Trail Powder Mountain and Maverick Mountain. Montana is the perfect place for winter recreation!
Cross-Country Skiing: There are a large variety of fantastic cross-country trails close to Butte, as well as using the golf course in front of the manor! Snowmobile Areas: For the snowmobiler try the Butte/Elk Park trails, Deer Lodge trails, Georgetown Lake or Wise River for awesome views and open powdery areas.
