Clark Chateau

The Clark Chateau in Butte, Montana is the Historic home of Charles and Katherine Clark. It is currently a museum, featuring the architecture of the 1899 home. The house features 7 fireplaces, stained glass windows and the fourth floor ballroom. All four floors are open for viewing on a guided tour.
The Chateau was once the home of the Butte College of Music. The Montana State Song was composed within the halls of the chateau. It was also the home of Senator James E. Murray from 1928 to 1945. Many of the furnishings in the home date back to that era.
Recitals and concerts can be enjoyed throughout the year. Check the website for notice of upcoming events. Guided tours are also available.
The Chateau is located in downtown Butte. As you visit this historic city, make sure to take some time to stop here and catch a view of history.
