Trout Fishing in Missoula

Spring is a great time to get the fishing season started.  Missoula, Montana is synonymous with fishing.  Three rivers - the Blackfoot, Bitterroot, and the Clark Fork - provide excellent opportunities for anglers.  Rock Creek is also known for its blue ribbon fishing.  Missoula has been named one of America’s top ten fishing towns by Forbes Magazine.

Visiting Montana and not sure where the best fishing spot is for you?  Ask your local B&B host where to go or for a referral to an outfitter to guide you.  It is not necessary to be a seasoned angler in order to get out there and enjoy the sport.  Your local guide can recommend the right gear for you, as well as the best fishing in the area.

Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks is the place to go for a fishing license.  Licenses are also available online or at the local sporting goods stores.

What a great way to enjoy the Montana outdoors.  The beauty of the river, the mountains, and all that nature has to offer.  After a day of fishing, take your catch and have it cooked up for dinner.  Does it get any better?
