Darby Montana - Outdoor Splendor

Bitterroot Valley

Sitting at the southern end of the Bitterroot Valley in western Montana is the town of Darby, MT. Surrounded by the Bitterroot National Forest, sportsmen from all over come to Darby for recreation.  Hunting, trout fishing, nordic skiing, and snowmobiling are just a few of the outdoor activities that make this a year round destination.

Community events are fun for residents as well as visitors. This former logging town celebrates its heritage each year with Darby Logger Days.  Also look for the Elite Bull Connection, Darby Rodeo, Darby Dog Derby, Lake Como Triathlon, Hard Time Bluegrass Festival, and the annual Strawberry Festival,

Up the valley in Hamilton, Victor, or Stevensville, visit The Daly Mansion, Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge, and St. Mary’s Mission.  Locally, the downtown area has been remodeled for great shopping and dining.  There are several community parks to enjoy.
