Whitefish - Skiing, Lakes, Mountain Trails

Nestled in Northwest Montana, Whitefish is home to the Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort, Nordic Skiing, and world class golf courses. Enjoy a day at Glacier National Park or skiing the mountain and then come home to great dining, shopping, and music in downtown Whitefish.

The summer comes alive in Whitefish with Huckleberry days Art Festival in August, the arts festival at Depot park in early July, a week of classical music celebration at the Festival Amadeus, the Tuesday night farmer’s market and tons of fun up at Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort.  Take the chairlift up to the summit and have lunch while marvelling at the view.  Hike the mountain 4 miles up or down and take the chairlift if not hiking round trip.  The mountain also has zipline adventures, high ropes courses in the trees, and an alpine slide.

Whitefish is covered with snow all winter.  Plenty of downhill skiing as well as nordic skiing on groomed trails, both classic and skate ski.  For those who may not want to don their skis, winter fun includes Skijoring, the Winter Carnival, and the annual Pond Skim and Dummy Derby at the ski mountain.
